Production is almost complete on the long-awaited new run of Gresley ‘O2’ 2-8-0 heavy goods locomotives. Featuring improved design and assembly over the previous batch, these models cover several sought-after versions not previously offered as ready-to-run models. More specifically, the 13 new models feature two versions of the original Great Northern Railway cab (full height and composite loading gauge) or LNER side-window cab, GNR or LNER tenders, two types of boiler (original and LNER 100A) and smokebox, GNR or LNER buffers, left or right-hand drive and a wealth of authentic small details.

Other improvements include metal handrail knobs, the addition of a factory-fitted speaker in the tender, more robust motion/valve gear, an improved adjustable loco/tender coupling and enhanced decoration in various GNR, LNER and BR liveries. Please note that the previously advertised factory-weathered editions have been dropped due to production issues and are now offered in the pristine finish.

Standard features include a 21-pin DCC decoder interface in the tender, a powerful 5-pole motor housed in a heavy die-cast locomotive chassis, wire handrails and a wealth of fine detail parts.
