- available in DCC Silent or DCC Sound versions
One of only two Class 92s repainted in EWS maroon and gold, 92031 was unveiled at the Institute's annual conference in Birmingham in June 2001, having originally been allocated the unused name Schiller.
It worked freight and occasional railtours, reaching destinations such as London Euston and Harwich Town, and in 2010 was used in trials proving Class 92s could handle Anglo-Scottish sleeper services. Repainted into DB Schenker red in 2011, it was stored at Crewe in 2015 and remains there, stripped for parts.
Accurascale's Class 92 electric locomotives are back, and better than ever! After a long while since the first run, they've announced five new liveries, and a range of enhancements to the models too, which will be available from Q4 2026.
Enhancements include a new detailed rear to the etched side grilles giving a better 3D appearance, a series of bogie detail refinements, etched 'Polo' mint logos for the sides where applicable, and a brand new DCC sound file too.
New: Built-in DCC Decoders on all Class 92 models
For the first time, each Class 92 model is supplied with a DCC decoder built-in from the factory, giving users the ability to instantly run on DCC and take advantage of the working pantographs, whilst still being able to run perfectly on traditional analogue DC.
Accurascale will therefore offer solely the choice of DCC Silent and DCC Sound Fitted models on the Class 92 for the first time.
